Een spook waart door Nijmegen, het spook van de Socialistische Studenten.
Welkom bij Socialistische Studentenvereniging Het Spook, de enige gezelligheidsvereniging voor socialistische studenten in Nijmegen.
Elke maandag vanaf 20:30 uur organiseren we een borrel met een (meestal socialistisch) thema. Denk aan de Franse Revolutie, de verjaardag van Lenin en de bestorming van het Winterpaleis. Verder proberen we twee keer per maand een aanvullende activiteit te houden zoals een historische stadswandeling, een filmavond of lezing met een socialistisch thema.
Als oudste stad van Nederland heeft Nijmegen natuurlijk ook een rijke linkse traditie, een traditie waar wij ook een onderdeel van willen zijn! Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de Piersonopstand en de Voordeurdelersopstand. De Nijmeegse studenten en inwoners waren vroeger zo socialistisch dat de stad bekend stond als 'Havana aan de Waal'!

Welcome to Socialist Student Association Het Spook, the only gezelligheids association for socialist students in Nijmegen.
Every monday from 20:30 we organise a borrel with a (usually) socialist theme. Think of the French Revolution, Lenin's birthday and the storming of the Winter Palace. Apart from this we try to organise an additional event such as a historic city hike, a movie night or a lecture with a socialist theme twice every month.
As the oldest city of the Netherlands, Nijmegen of course has a rich leftist tradition, a tradition of which we also want to be a part! Think of the Pierson rebellion and the Voordeurdelers rebellion . The Nijmegen students and citizens were in the past so socialist that the city was known as 'Havana on the Waal'!
